Legion in GainesvilleAfter 40 years of hosting Gainesville's Fourth of July fireworks show, the American Legion won't be the site of this year's festivities - its moving to Laurel Park. The fireworks will be about 9:15 or 9:30.
Chateau Elan
Other festivities not on the lake are also sure to be good ways to celebrate the holiday. Chateau Elan at 100 Tour de France in Braselton has fireworks at dusk. Admission is free. For more information, call Chateau Elan at 678-425-0900. Lanier National Speedway

Dahlonega has an old-fashioned family type Fourth of July Celebration followed by a fireworks show at Yahoola Creek Park at dusk. Before July 4th
Some celebrations are planned to take place before July 4th. Gainesville Symphony Orchestra will hold its Patriotic Pops Concert from 6-10 p.m. on July 3rd at Brenau Ampitheatre at Brenau University, 500 Washington St. S.E., Gainesville. University Yacht Club is located at 6649 Yacht Club Road in Flowery Branch.
