Lake Lanier is famous for its stripers, crappie and above all for its black bass. It's the best bass location is North Georgia and the lake holds many regional records. The Corps of Engineers, in conjunction with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources actively stocks the lake every year with fingerlings.
