Unfortunately it looks like the drought is reintensifying again
Lake Lanier, already at 14.4 feet below full and setting daily record low levels for this time of the year. The sun alone is evaporating more than two-tenths of an inch per day.
Every day 193.9 million gallons of water evaporate. By comparison, Gwinnett County withdrew an average of 74.2 million gallons a day from the lake in May, or less than half the amount that's disappearing in the sun's rays.
