Buford Dam Park

Buford Dam Park will be open only Thursday through Sunday and on the "big three" holidays: Memorial Day, July Fourth and Labor Day.

It is a fee park and costs $4 per vehicle and $1 for pedestrians. It has a beach with a designated swim area, picnic tables on and near the beach, volleyball and basketball areas, a couple of playgrounds, and picnic shelters/pavilions. Shelters in Buford Dam Park can be rented for $90 per day. Call 770-945-9531 to make reservations. Laurel Ridge Trail (3.8 miles) goes through Buford Dam Park, in addition to Powerhouse Park and Lower Overlook.

Why is the guardrail just north of Little Mill Rd (right before the sharp left turn heading toward the Dam)on Buford Dam rd so overgrown?... its grown WELL over the guardrail itself causing drivers to steer alot closer to traffic coming the opposite direction. It's a DANGEROUS situtation thats easily fixed. Eagerly waiting a reply.

Why is the bridge closed? I went to go fishing and could not get across.
No amenities on this side of the river if you know what I mean.........
Is there a site posting this information?
Water release, bridge closed, code red etc.
