Located at the 1996 Atlanta Olympic Venue in Gainesville, Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club and Lake Lanier Rowing Club continue to be a venue for competitive water sports on Lake Lanier. Various regattas, festivals, and events are held at the Lanier Centre throughout the year. The Canoe and Kayak Club offers two-hour canoeing and kayaking classes every Sunday afternoon for ten dollars and private lessons for $35 and hour. In addition to this, the Lanier Canoe and Kayak Club and Lake Lanier Rowing Club are places where locals can join to make friends while enjoying the sport.

Turn left off the exit at the traffic light onto Jesse Jewell Parkway. Turn right onto Limestone Parkway. Follow Limestone Parkway for approximately one mile and you will pass a J&J Supermarket on your right. Take the next right (at the gas station) onto Clarks Bridge Road. Follow Clarks Bridge Road for about one mile. The Canoe and Kayak Club is located on your left at 3105 Clarks Bridge Road.
