The Corps operates 20 designated swim areas around the 39,000 acres of Lake Lanier. All swim areas are "swim at your own risk" and there are no lifeguards on duty. Swimmers are encouraged to swim at designated swim areas only. Corps campgrounds with designated swim areas include: Shoal Creek, Old Federal, Duckett Mill, Bald Ridge, and Sawnee. Corps day use parks with designated swim areas include: Buford Dam Park, Burton Mill, Van Pugh North, Old Federal Day Use, Little Hall, Toto Creek, Keith's Bridge, Long Hollow, Lanier Park, and West Bank. Another option and always enjoyed by swimmers is Lake Lanier Islands Beach and Water Park. In addition to the beach, Lake Lanier Islands Beach and Water Park also has waterslides, wavepools, and much more. Comments (0)
